What you will be doing
We are looking for an experienced Process Engineer with a passion for sustainability and waste management. In this role, you will optimize and implement their concrete recycling processes, playing a key role in their global scaling efforts. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the highest standards of quality and sustainability, and you’ll have the opportunity to grow into a leadership position, heading their process department.

The tasks and responsibilities
- Process Design & Optimization: Develop and optimize concrete upcycling processes to improve efficiency and product quality.
- Technology Ownership: Take ownership of their core technologies and contribute to developing the next generation of machinery.
- Supplier Collaboration: Engage in technical discussions with suppliers to ensure efficient process standards.
- Implementation & Commissioning: Lead the implementation and commissioning of new processes and technologies.
- Quality & Compliance: Ensure all processes meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements and cost-saving strategies.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, operations, and other teams to achieve process excellence.
- Facility Setup: Assist in the setup and optimization of new facilities worldwide.
- Documentation: Develop and maintain detailed process documentation and standard operating procedures.
- Mentorship: Train and mentor junior engineers and technicians.
The job requirements
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: 5+ years in process engineering, preferably in the construction materials or recycling industry.
- Technical Skills: Experience with process engineering software and tools and expertise in process design, optimization, and implementation.
- Adaptability: Flexible and adaptable in a dynamic startup environment.
- Sustainability Passion: Strong commitment to sustainable practices and industrial decarbonization.
- Language: Fluent in English & Dutch; additional languages are a plus.

Travel: Willing to travel up to 50%.
